How to Vote By Mail

July 22, 2010

Voting early is one of the best ways you can show your support for Matt Dunne during this important election.  If you have received your ballot and are ready to fill it out, check out our video tutorial!

There are a number of important benefits to voting early:
  • It ensures your ballot is submitted and counted in case you are on vacation on Election Day (Tuesday, August 24), or if something comes up that day that prevents you from getting to the polls.
  • It allows you to spend your time on Election Day encouraging your friends, family and neighbors to vote or work at a polling location yourself.
  • It allows our campaign to focus on reaching undecided Vermonters with Matt’s message instead of making sure our supporters get to the polls.

Voting early is easy and won’t take more than a few minutes.

Vote Early

You can cast your ballot right now! If you are already registered to vote, just visit your local Town Clerk’s office and ask for an early voting ballot. You can fill out the ballot while you’re there and ask the Town Clerk to help you out if you have any questions with the process or the forms.

To find the location of your Town Clerk, check out this document.

Vote By Mail

If you prefer to have your ballot mailed to you, you can vote by mail.

First, fill out a Vote By Mail Request Form and turn it in to your local Town Clerk. You can also contact our office at info@mattdunne.com or (802)478-0858 and we can have someone pick up the form from your house and turn it in for you.

Shortly after your request form is turned in, you should receive an official ballot in the mail. After filling out the ballot, be sure to follow the directions on how to seal the envelope and don’t forget to sign the back of the envelope. When you’re finished, just drop it in the mail and your vote will be counted.
